The Service

Stitch Haven is a personal organization tool for crocheters and knitters. It helps you save pattern links, organize them into collections, and track your projects with built-in counters.

Important: Stitch Haven does not host, sell, or distribute crochet or knitting patterns. We only save links to patterns that exist elsewhere on the web. Patterns belong to their original creators, and you should always visit the source to access the actual pattern.

The service is in active development and we're continuously adding features. Stitch Haven has a free tier and a paid Premium subscription.

Subscriptions and Billing

Free and Premium Tiers

Stitch Haven offers a free tier with some capacity limits. For unlimited access, you can upgrade to Premium and support the continued development of Stitch Haven.

Premium Pricing

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly. Current pricing is displayed during checkout and in your account settings. We may change pricing in the future, and we'll notify you if we do.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We don't store your payment information on our servers.

Cancellation

You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. If you cancel, you'll keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period, then your account will revert to the free tier.

Refunds

We don't offer refunds for partial months of Premium subscription.

Payment Failures

If your payment fails, we'll attempt to process it again. If payment fails repeatedly, your account will be downgraded to the free tier. You can resubscribe at any time.

Your Account

Account Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Stitch Haven. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Interfere with or disrupt the service
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
Share content that violates others' intellectual property rights
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone

Your Content

Ownership

You own the content you create in Stitch Haven (your notes, project details, collection organization, etc.). We don't claim ownership of your content.

License to Us

By using Stitch Haven, you grant us a license to store, display, and process your content so we can provide the service. If you make a collection public, you're granting us permission to display that collection to anyone with the link. If you share a project photo to the public gallery, you're granting us permission to display that photo publicly.

Your Responsibilities

You're responsible for the content you save and share. By making content public, you represent that:

You have the right to share it
It doesn't violate anyone's intellectual property rights
It doesn't contain illegal or harmful content
Photos you upload are your own or you have the right to use them

Pattern Links and Images

When you save pattern links and images, you're responsible for ensuring you're linking to legitimate sources. We don't monitor or verify the legality of linked content, but we will remove content if we receive a valid copyright complaint.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on Stitch Haven violates your copyright, please contact us at maymayscrochets@gmail.com with:

Description of the copyrighted work
URL of the allegedly infringing content
Your contact information
A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized
A statement that the information is accurate and you're authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Service Availability

We work hard to keep Stitch Haven running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We may need to temporarily disable the service for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We'll try to give advance notice when possible, but sometimes things happen suddenly.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stitch Haven and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service.

This includes (but isn't limited to) loss of data, loss of projects or patterns, or any other losses. You use the service at your own risk.

Service Changes and Account Closure

Changes to the Service

We may change, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We're continuously improving Stitch Haven based on user needs and feedback.

Pricing Changes

We may change pricing or introduce new paid features in the future. If we do, we'll notify you and you can choose whether to continue using the service.

Your Right to Stop Using

You can stop using Stitch Haven and delete your account at any time. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers.

Our Right to Suspend or Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or use the service in ways that could harm other users or the service itself. We'll try to give you notice when possible, but we reserve the right to take immediate action if necessary.

Service Discontinuation

If we ever need to shut down Stitch Haven entirely, we'll make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice. However, due to circumstances beyond our control (like hosting service failures), we cannot guarantee data retrieval or export in all situations.

Disputes and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If you have a dispute with Stitch Haven, please contact us first and we'll try to resolve it informally. Any legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of Virginia.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through a notice on the service. Your continued use of Stitch Haven after changes means you accept the updated terms.
